This role involves developing custom interconnection solutions for critical sectors such as aerospace, medical, defense, and industrial markets. You’ll be part of a dedicated team committed to ensuring customer satisfaction by meeting product quality and performance goals while helping to enhance our market position.
The Mechanical Design Engineer's responsibilities include:
- Work with sales on new engineering opportunities and assess feasibility
- Oversee the entire NPI lifecycle from concept to manufacturing
- Create NPI quotes and contribute to strategic product planning
- Prepare manufacturing specs, technical drawings, and manage ERP documentation
- Lead technical discussions to align project requirements
- Ensure compliance with AS9100 standards and safety policies
The Mechanical Design Engineer's education, experience and skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field preferred
- Proven experience in new product development, project management, and small-scale manufacturing operations
- Proficiency with CAD models, project management tools, and techniques; strong understanding of technical drawings for manufacturing
- Excellent adaptability, customer focus, and collaboration skills
